RRA Win Appeal for the Paddock Right of Way DMMO

RRA Win Appeal for the Paddock Right of Way DMMO

The Right of Way to the north and east of the Paddock is formally recognised.

Roedean Residents Association Committee have been successful in their appeal to the Planning Inspectorate in relation to a 2014 application to BHCC for a Definitive Map Modification Order (DMMO).

The DMMO application was made to formalise the Right of Way to the north and east of the Paddock parimeter.   The Right of Way runs from the south east steps linking the Paddock to the A259, Marine Drive.   It provides an access route at the rear of several houses along The Cliff as well as public access from The Cliff through the Paddock to the coast road.

RRA is delighted with the success of this appeal.   BHCC had consistently refused to acknowledge the existence of this long standing Right of Way.  However following detailed, patient efforts and submissions by committee members and local people, the Planning Inspectorate agreed with RRA’s arguments and Allowed the Appeal.
