New Roedean Bottom Signage Installed

New Roedean Bottom Signage Installed

New signage has been erected around the Roedean Bottom field welcoming visitors to the South Downs and reminding us all about the important wildlife that lives and thrives on our doorstep.

Roedean Residents Association committee have spent the last year developing a relationship with the South Downs National Park and Brighton and Hove team of Rangers.   Together we have engaged with the farmer, Mr Carr, who leases and farms the Roedean Bottom land in an effort to understand what part we can play to help preserve and enhance this important asset on our doorstep.   The first result of this joint relationship is the installation of the new signage which we hope will be useful and informative to everyone who enjoys this area as well as helpful towards encouraging people to keep to the footpaths and not walk through the field which damages both the field verges and their wildlife as well as the farmers crops.

If you have ideas about how local residents can further help to preserve and enhance the Downs in our neighbourhood please get in contact with us at RRA@kmrl.co.uk

Roedean Residents’ Association would like to thank Mark Hayward and Stephen Sibbald from the South Downs National Park Authority for all their work towards the signage.
